TROY + HOPE | IN-HOME COUPLE SESSION | BOYNTON BEACH, FL

Welcome to Troy + Hope's perfect first home (except for the 3 flights of stairs every time you come and go). This is where they brew some coffee, curl up on the couch together, and enjoy each other's company - and that's exactly what we did during our session! But before we get into all the fun details, let's talk about the Katterheinrichs...

I don't know that I've ever seen 2 people more in love! I'm pretty sure one of Hope's favorite "hobbies" is kissing her husband. They said "I love you" to each other at least 100 times throughout the duration of our time together...and not just a casual, "I love you," but an affectionally genuine, meaning-filled, "I love you." I could tell because they would look deeply into each other's eyes as they said it, and then I would get all excited because the shot I just took was authentically "them." Occasionally, I would forget what I was there to do! I would just get caught up in their adoration for one another and feel like I was watching a Hallmark movie!

I have known Troy + Hope for a few years now, so I was beyond pumped about this session! From the second Hope opened the door until I left, it just felt like we were hanging out and having fun...because, well, that's actually what was happening! We simply did what was typical for a relaxed morning in the Katterheinrich home. Bethel was playing in the background and Hope poured me a cup of coffee while I got to know their sweet pup, Kona (who is apparently pretty timid, but she really warmed up and got pretty friendly!). We started sipping our hot coffee and I had Troy + Hope sit on the couch together, where they allowed Kona to join them (but only for the shoot!). After some sweet cuddles and puppy love (literally), Troy + Hope went to the kitchen to start the pancake process!

Slight interruption...it was at this point when Troy said, "This is fun!" And let me tell you...he probably didn't know this, but that was one of the best compliments and encouragements I could receive! The fact that he shared that he was enjoying our session meant so much to me! It meant I was achieving my goal in photography of making the picture taking process a fun one, not something to dread! So thank you, Troy!

Anyway, Troy cut the fruit while Hope mixed the batter. And it wouldn't be a pancake party without trying to flip them in the air with the pan! After some taste testing, we headed out to their balcony for some rocking chair action and then finished up inside. This was one of my favorite parts because there was just a couple of things that Troy really wanted to capture, and one of them was him putting a golf ball around the house while Hope and Kona observed. I loved this because it truly characterized them as a little family. They didn't want to put on a show or set up their home in any special way. They just wanted to capture the memories they've created in their first home together, and that was something special.

Thank you, Troy + Hope, for inviting me into your home! I truly left feeling so filled with joy and gratitude! I am honored that I get to watch you 2 grow in your marriage and set a wonderful example of selfless love.
