PETER + KAREENA | DOWNTOWN WEST PALM BEACH WEDDING

Peter, myself, Joel the videographer, and a couple groomsmen awaited Kareena and her bridesmaids at the very spot where Peter proposed. When Kareena’s girls waved me down, I ran over to help guide her toward her anxiously anticipating groom. As we cautiously walked around where Peter would not catch an early glimpse of her, Kareena looked like an absolute angel gliding through the grass with the sunlight bursting behind her. Emotions hit. Kareena’s eyes began to fill with tears of longing love and readiness to be with her soon-to-be husband forever. These were the moments just before their first look.

And don’t even get me started on the actual first look…I watched Peter unceasingly repeat how beautiful his bride looked. Their embrace was so warm. So affectionate.

When I arrived at the adorable Airbnb where Kareena and her girls were getting ready, everyone was so chill! Waffles were being enjoyed, makeup was getting done…there was no rushing around, no chaos…just calm, laid-back, wedding morning vibes. Same went for Peter and his crew!

I was beyond stoked specifically for this wedding because Peter + Kareena are some of the kindest, most down-to-Earth and relaxed people on the planet! Way back on our drive to take their sunrise engagement pictures on the beach, I was asking about how wedding plans were going, and we got on the topic of their dinner. Kareena said to me, “We aren’t really fancy chicken people…and we love pizza, so that’s what we’re doing!” That one explanation from Kareena is one of the many reasons why their wedding was such a dream to be a part of…because they did exactly what THEY wanted on their big day, not what tradition or current trends say they have to do. There was no cake. Instead, they hired a local vendor called Dreamallows who rolled in a s’mores cart where they roasted handcrafted, stuffed marshmallows and handed out the most delicious homemade s’mores. (Genius!) Decor was beautiful and simple. They began their ceremony with worship lead by friends. The day was entirely about the Lord bringing them together and their commitment to one another for the rest of their lives. They were surrounded by the people who mean the most to them, who have encouraged them individually and throughout their relationship, and who will continue to be by their side forever.

Peter + Kareena: I was incredibly touched by your wedding day. The support of your family and community speaks volumes about your relationship. The way you two embrace one another and fit into each others arms so perfectly is remarkable. Your deep love for each other is so obvious. I cannot wait to watch you two grow closer to one another and push each other into a deeper relationship with the Lord.

Thank you a million times over for allowing me to document one of the most important and exciting days of your lives. It was such a gift to be a part of. 💙
