Daniel Farrokh + Amy Mesiah...I could probably write a short book about how influential these two have been in my life, not to mention how amazing their story is! Dan was actually the first person I met at college, and he's now one of my closest friends. He's been a constant through the years, always offering encouragement, support, and humor. Amy was someone I quickly came to realize was not a friend that I wanted to lose. Her deep and thoughtful spirit has encouraged me tremendously and kept me grounded numerous times. Even as she's moved away from us after graduating, she's one of the few people out there who are incredible at staying in touch, praying for you consistently, and thinking of you often. Dan + Amy are not just my friends, but they are my brother and my sister, and I am almost moved to tears just thinking about the gratitude I have for their existence in my life.
Now for their love story...! Dan + Amy lived in the same general area and actually had mutual friends, but they didn't know each other personally before college. They quickly developed a liking for each other freshmen year and started dating second semester. Skipping ahead, after about 2 years of dating (I think?), the Lord started working in each of them and they ended up breaking up. I don't think either of them would say it was a smooth ride, necessarily, but over the next 2 years, I witnessed both of them grow tremendously in so many ways! Fast forward to almost 2 months ago, THEY'RE BACK TOGETHER AND IT'S SUCH A DREAM! I think my friend, Josie, and I may have been more excited about it than Dan + Amy...they're both just such special humans in our lives and we were so happy that they were a couple again!! The decision to get back together was a long, thought-out process that neither of them took lightly. The trusted the Lord with His plans and He lead them back to each other! 😍
Amy now lives in Chicago, so when she visited the other week, I was dying to get some pictures of her and Dan! While hanging at the beach with some friends (the same time as my last blog post with Noah + Kayla), I snagged them away for a few minutes. These cuties do not love the camera, but the camera sure loves them! Dan + Amy, I had such a fun time getting sandy and playing in the waves with you guys! Thanks for putting up with my obsessive love for you tan beauties...I love you so much!
